Here are
some pictures from my
20km event in Gothenburg.
I became Fourth!!! I
am really happy. I gave
my best to make a medal,
but three athletes were
better. If somebody
would have told me a
year ago that I would
become fourth at the
Europeans I would have
laughed. The season
hasn't been perfect
because of the injury
earlier this year, and
in Gothenburg I only
walked my third real
race since October 2004.
My time of 1.28.45 is
the best time I have
ever walked in a Championship.
And with this I am more
than pleased and do
not feel sorry that
I missed the bronze
medal with eight seconds
and the silver medal
with ten seconds. I
walked the last 10k
in 43.43 and the last
1k in 4.16!!! But I
could not close the
gap. Both girls in front
of me also walked a
very good race.
