I
have been in
St. Moritz for
three weeks.
We have been
lucky with the
weather and
the training
conditions.
Last weekend
we had some
days with rain
and thunder,
but we were
able to do all
of our training
anyway :-)
This
time there has
been many international
race walkers
here. The first
who arrived
to St. Moritz
on the 14th
of June was
Athanasia Tsoumeleka
(GRE) with her
Team including
Coach Nikos.
My brother Erik
Tysse (NOR)
arrived the
next day. Luke
Adams (AUS)
came the day
after and the
following day
(17/06) I arrived
with coach Stephan,
my kids and
Vibeke (Physio
from NOC Norway).
Two days later
Sabine Zimmer
(GER) arrived
too. The week
after the Portuguese
team (Susana
Feitor, Ines
Henriques, Sergio
Vieira, coach
Jorge Miguel
and his wife
Teresa) and
the Slovak walkers
(Peter, Matej
and Milos) arrived.
Luke's team
mates Jane Saville
and Nathan Deaks,
Toby, their
physio, and
coach Craig
also arrived
the same week.
This week Andreas
and Mari from
Sweden came
to St. Moritz.
Vibeke stayed
together with
us for 10 days
before she had
to go back to
Norway. But
four days later
our Physio through
many years Hilde
Robinson joined
us. Hilde will
be here together
with us until
we go back home
on Thursday.
So
this year we
have been many
race walkers
here. I have
been able to
train with Susana,
Ines, Sabine
and Athanasia.
Erik has been
training with
Luke from time
to time, too.
We all do our
own training,
but when it
fit's we walk
together. All
of my hard workouts
I have walked
alone. Just
like I also
do at home.
I
am now starting
to get very
tired, but this
is my last week
of much training
before Olympics
so I'll manage
the last days
too. :-)

Training
around the lake
together with
Athanasia, Ines
and Susana (left
to right) -
26.06.

Sergio,
I, Susana, Ines
and Sabine are
ready to train
when Erik passes
by - 03.07.
